Day 1: Arrival to Uganda

On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to either Airport Link Guest House, Victoria Rock Resort or African Roots Guest House Entebbe (Budget); K Hotels Entebbe, Cassia Lodge or Kazi Beach Resort (Mid-range); or Protea Hotel or Victoria Serena  Resort (Luxury), where you will rest and spend your first night. Dinner shall be at the Hotel.

Day 2: Mabira Forest and Source of River Nile

Picked from the Lodge, you will be driven to Mabira forest, Uganda’s biggest tropical forest, where you will do Nature walk., proceed for Lunch and then rest.

In the evening you visit the Source of the Nile, and see where the World’s longest River starts its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and overnight shall be at either Explorers River Camp or 2 Friends Guesthouse Jinja (Budget); or The Haven River Lodge or Nile village Resort (Midrange).

Day 3: Wild Waters Rafting, Kayaking and Bungee Jumping

After breakfast, prepare for the most thrilling activities on the Nile. The activities to choose from shall be White water rafting, Kayaking, Wild Nile jets boating or Boat Cruising, and you can choose to sum up the day in the evening with the supplementary hard experience Bungee jumping over the Nile (at additional 140 USD). This you will always remember.

However, you MUST confirm which activity you wish to engage in and we confirm beforehand. Dinner and overnight shall be at either Explorers River Camp or 2 Friends Guesthouse Jinja (Budget); or The Haven River Lodge or Nile village Resort (Midrange).

Day 4: Transfer, Sipi Falls and Caves

You will be driven further into Eastern Uganda, to the Land of the Bagisu, who inhabit the mountainous Elgon areas. Lunch will be in Mbale Town, then proceed to Sipi Falls, where you expect to have an amazing view of Sipi water falls. You will also visit some caves like the Mise cave.

Dinner and overnight shall be at La Cottages Mbale, Wash and Wills Hotel or Sipi River Lodge (Budget/Midrange) or Mbale Resort Hotel (Budget-Luxury)

Day 5: Karamoja transfer and Tour of Karamojong Culture

Today you head to Karamoja, the land of the nomadic pastoral communities. This region is the most underdeveloped part of the country and presents the closest encounter with their lifestyle. You will arrive in Karamoja in the late afternoon to relax and have Lunch.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a cultural tour of the Karamojong people for one of the most authentic cultural tours. Characterized by their colorful dressing, body piercings, wearing of beads and their traditional clothing, the unique lifestyle and culture sets these nomadic pastoral communities apart from other tribes in Uganda.

We shall visit a typical Karamojong homestead and have a look at their communal ‘Manyatas’ housing patterns. Explore their lifestyle, and enjoy them do their traditional dance. Accommodation at either Apoka Rest Camp (Budget) or Kidepo Savannah Lodge (Budget/Midrange) or Apoka Lodge or Adere Safari Lodge (Luxury) for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Game drive in the Kidepo Valley National Park

This morning you embark on a game drive in the grassland plains of Kidepo Valley National Park. The variety of animal species in this park which you may encounter is abundant including many which are found nowhere else in Uganda. After the game drive, you travel by to Gulu district, with focus on Fort Patiko, which was a Slave trade facility.

After visiting the Fort, we shall travel to Gulu town to rest, have dinner and sleep. In case you are not tired, a drive or walk around Gulu town, will be done in the evening before retiring to sleep at either Acholi Inn (Budget-Midrange) or Churchill Courts Hotel (Budget- Midrange).

Day 7: Transfer and Boat Cruise to Murchison Falls

Today, we shall head towards Uganda’s oldest and largest National Park, Murchison falls National Park. On arrival at Murchison, we shall check-in at the Lodge, rest and have Lunch.

In the afternoon, you take the boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls the world’s strongest fall where the fall forces its way through a narrow gorge with thunderous water falls. Return to the lodge and retire for the day. Dinner and overnight at either Hornbill Bush Lodge (Budget) or Pakuba Safari Lodge (Midrange) or Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury). Meal plan is full board

Day 8: Game drive in Murchison Falls National Park 

You will be taken to have a morning game drive in Uganda’s largest and oldest park, this offers beautiful sceneries of savannah grasslands, acacia in the north and tropical forests in the south, the Nile delta on L. Albert, Northern bank. As you view and take memorable photographs of the animals in the wildness, you may expect to find elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, and waterbucks, bushbucks, spotted hyenas among others
After the game drive, you will return to the Lodge for Lunch and also check out then get out of the Park and proceed by Road to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will spend the Night.
Please note that you could opt for Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest, then Rhino Tracking before returning to Kampala. You would have to let us know which one is of your preference.

Day 9: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Today, you will do Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and have Lunch and later transfer to Kampala. This Rhino sanctuary is a breeding project which saw the rebirth of the endangered white Rhinoceros and it is the only place where you can track white Rhinos on foot in Uganda. The sanctuary is also a home to many woodland birds. Dinner and rest at either Airport Link Guest House, Victoria Rock Resort or African Roots Guest House Entebbe (Budget); K Hotels Entebbe, Cassia Lodge or Kazi Beach Resort (Mid-range); or Victoria Serena  Resort or Protea Hotel (Luxury), as you prepare for your return Flight the following day.

Day 10: Departure

On this day, you will prepare for your return flight. After checking out of your hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport in time to catch your return flight. This marks the end of your trip, bringing your Ugandan adventure to a close. Safe travels!

NOTE: This trip itinerary can also be done in the reverse order starting from Ziwa Rhino tracking and ending with Kayaking/Bungee jumping in Jinja
