Day 1: Arrival to Uganda

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your chosen accommodation:

  • Budget Options: Airport Link Guest House Entebbe, J-Residence Motel Entebbe or Redchilli Hideaway in Kampala.
  • Midrange Options: Kazi Beach Resort, Cassia Lodge in Kampala, or Lake Heights in Entebbe.
  • Luxury Options: Lake Victoria Serena Resort or Protea Hotel Entebbe.

Dinner will be served at your lodge.

Day 2: Kampala – Rhino Tracking at Ziwa

After breakfast your adventure begins with a road trip. You will be picked by our driver from your Lodge and driven northwest with a stopover for Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Lunch and later continue to Murchison falls national park.  A nature walk will be done at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary-Nakasongola, the breeding project which saw the rebirth of the endangered white Rhinoceros and it is the only place where you can track white Rhinos moreover on foot in Uganda with close view walking freely in the reserve. The sanctuary is also a home to many woodland birds like Hoopoes, Ruppell’s long tailed starlings to mention but a few and proceed to Murchison and Check into the Lodge.

Dinner and overnight at either Heritage Safari Lodge (Budget) or Pakuba Safari Lodge (Midrange) or Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury). Meal plan is full board.

Day 3: Game Drive, Nile Boat Cruise in Murchison Park

After breakfast, you will be taken to have a morning game drive, combined in Uganda’s largest and oldest park, this offers beautiful sceneries of savannah grasslands, acacia in the north and tropical forests in the south, the Nile delta on L. Albert, Northern bank. As you view and take memorable photographs of the animals in the wildness, expect to find Elephants, Possibly Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes, and Waterbucks, Bushbucks, possibly Spotted Hyenas among others. Thereafter, you will be driven back to the Lodge for lunch and relation.

n the afternoon, you will take the boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls, one of the world’s strongest falls with spectacular rainbow view where the fall forces its way through a narrow gorge with thunderous water. (If preferred, you can do hiking from where the boat cruise stops to the Top of this amazing falls. Please note that this requires suitable hiking shoes as the distance and terrain may be a little challenging to some people and if the hiking to top of falls is your preference, more time is required that evening, so you would let us know in advance). You will then return to the lodge and retire for the day. Dinner and overnight at either Heritage Safari Lodge (Budget) or Pakuba Safari Lodge (Midrange) or Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury). Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park, Amabere Caves

Have an early morning breakfast and start a long transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. This is a long transfer that will consume most of the day. Lunch will be enroute in Hoima. Proceed to Fort Portal where if time allows, you will have a tour of the caves of “Amabere ga NyinaMwiru,” a site of limestone rocks with amazing cultural connotations. It is believed and legends have it that a proud beautiful young lady called Nyina Mwiru, who was a daughter to the head of the then dynasty, refused to marry a man whom the father selected for her and because of her defiance, her breasts were cut off and thrown into these caves, and the breasts are believed to have grown into the beautiful rocks in these caves and the white fluids which drop from the rocks is believed to be the milk from her breasts.

Here you get amazed as you encounter the collision between traditional interpretation of nature and science.  Check in at either Primate Lodge Sky Tree House (Budget) or Kibale Forest camp (Midrange) or Primate Lodge (Luxury). Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 5: Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen

Have an early morning breakfast and head to Kibale National park for chimpanzee tracking. The park harbors the greatest variety of primates especially Baboons and chimpanzees and also protects a large block of rain forest birds. Forest walks and primate viewing will be carried out, expect to view different tree species and hundreds of birds. Have lunch and relax at your lodge and later check out and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the early morning, take a game drive along the tracks of the national park, in the Northern sectors and towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. You might see Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyenas, Waterbucks, Ugandan Kobs, and Warthogs. Queen Elizabeth lies in the unique landscapes and views of crater lakes and the Albertine Rift Valley, which make this area special and unforgettable. After the game drive you will return to the Lodge for Lunch.

In the afternoon, take an exciting safari by boat from Mweya peninsula along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife, bird’s life and opportunities for good photographs. Moreover, you will see plenty of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes and Elephants while drinking from the channel and you will have higher chances of witnessing predator-prey reactions.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at either Simba Safari Camp (Budget) or Park view safari lodge (Mid range) or Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury). Meal plan is full board.

Day 7: Tracking Tree Climbing Lions in Ishasha, Transfer to Bwindi 

After breakfast, leave the Northern sector of Queen Elizabeth and head southwards. Pass through the Ishasha sector, the southern region of Queen Elizabeth NP. Take a game drive in search for the “tree climbing lions” which are seen during the hot hours of the day, as they lie resting on top of Figs trees. See also herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Topi antelopes and more. Lunch en route.

Reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by evening for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at either Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget) or Gift of Nature Lodge (Midrange) or Silverback Lodge (Luxury option). Meal plan is Full Board.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking – Transfer to Igongo Cultural Centre

In the morning you enter the rain tropical forest of Bwindi for the Gorilla safari. The activity starts at early in the morning with briefing from the Wildlife Ranger Guides and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum 8 people as you search for the habituated family of Mountain Gorillas, which was allocated accordingly. Bwindi forest in Uganda which is more than half the world population.

You have one hour for observing the primates and their behaviors, while taking photographs. Due to the nature of this activity, we shall ensure that you take packed lunch and water with you in the bag and for this you might need the support of available porters. In the evening, you will proceed to Mbarara town. Dinner and overnight at either Kosiya Hotel & Services Apartments (Budget) or Igongo Country Hotel (Midrange)

Day 9: Igongo Museum – Equator–Ndere Cultural Performance

After breakfast, do a tour of the Museum at Igongo cultural Centre which is a leading recreational complex comprising of the captivating & one of the best museums in Uganda, Eriijukiro (the museum of South Western Uganda) then start a road transfer towards Kampala with a stop at the Equator line, to stop and experience being at the center of the globe at 0°, where you are neither at the Southern nor Northern Hemispheres. Take some memorable photography and visit the craft shops, then proceed to Kampala with enroute lunch, reaching Ndere Centre in the evening. Tour around the centre and see the crafts on display as you wait for the amazing cultural dance performance by Ndere troupe in the evening.

Please note that the cultural performances are staged on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Dinner and overnight at either Ndere Centre/ Red Chilli Hide Away (Budget) or Cassia Lodge (Midrange) or Kampala Serena Hotel (Luxury)

Day 10: Departure

On this day, you will prepare for your return flight. After checking out of your hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport in time to catch your return flight. This marks the end of your trip, bringing your Ugandan adventure to a close. Safe travels!
